Specimen received in one container labeled with patient's name and gastric
biopsy fixed in formalin. Two tiny fragments measuring 0.8 cm
Microscopic description:
Histologic sections show fragments of gastrie mucosa with lymphoplasmacytic
infiltration in lamina propria and neutrophilic intraepithelial lesion.
Final diagnosis:
Gastric biopsy(body):
Chronic active gastritis
Negative for dysplasia
Negative for intestinal metaplasia.
Positive for H.pylori infection (sever).
