MRI OF BRAIN WITHOUT CONTRAST
1.5 Tesla MR System
Multiplanar, multislice and multisequence images findings:
- Cerebral hemispheres: 12mm isosignal T1WI and T2WI extraaxial mass in left
temporal lobe mostly compatible with meningioma, MRI with contrast is
suggested. There are diffuse central and cortical brain atrophy with hypersignal
T2W and FLAIR periventricular and deep white matter lesions most probably
due to ischemia of atherosclerotic microvascular occlusive disease. No
hydrocephalus or midline structural shift. No diffusion restriction in DWI.
- Brain stem: normal
- Cerebellum: normal
- IAC and CP angles: normal
- Cavernous sinuses and CSF cisterns: normal
- Skull base and craniocervical junction: normal
- Sella turcica and pituitary gland: normal
Impression:
Left middle cranial fossa meningioma
Diffuse brain atrophy and chronic small vessel ischemia
